The 3-Window Display creates a seamless high-quality, affordable display often used in flight & driver training simulators. The display can easily be integrated into cockpits and driver simulation stations with varying degrees of authenticity depending on the application requirements.
Future Systems
VMD - Mini Dome
Expanding on the same technology as used in the 3-Window Display, Bugeye is developing both 15 and 42 Panel Mini-Dome Display Systems. These systems are of a scalable design that could create a complete sphere by repeating the basic mosaic shape many times. Bugeye calls this a Virtual Mosaic Display or VMD.
In 2008, Bugeye won a Navy SBIR N07-029 Award to perform research on the development of seamless collimated displays with infinity focus, eye limiting resolution and 20/20 acuity.
Bugeye intends to develop the multi-panel display concept with the use of special designed Fresnel lenses, high resolution LCD’s, and COTs computers. This approach offers superior display quality with eye limiting visual acuity for a training visual system that is configurable, deployable, reliable, and yet affordable.
