Bugeye F-35 RAMT Featured at Sim Innovation Center Event
Bugeye Technologies debuted its F-35 Reconfigurable Advanced Mission Trainer (RAMT) during an integration demo at the Sim Innovation Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, June 25-26.
Bugeye’s F-35 RAMT cockpit is the culmination of pilot feedback from around the world, which has enabled its team to develop one of the best-valued trainers available – and with a focus on software interoperability and agnosticism. Various collaborators joined Bugeye Technologies for the demonstration. Vertex Solutions offered the integration piece for the hardware; Varjo featured its XR4 headset; and Aechelon Technology provided the image generation for the event.
During the demonstration, Bugeye technicians “hot swapped” the RAMT hardware to adapt its configuration from an F-35 to an F-15 in less than 10 minutes, demonstrating the reconfigurability of the trainer.
“It was a unique design process for Bugeye,” said Aaron Lackman, director of simulation sales and marketing at Bugeye Technologies. “Throughout the development process, we collected feedback from programs and end users to design the RAMT and deliver the best possible training device to the warfighter. The final product is the result of all of their insight and experience.”
Configured to meet numerous needs, the RAMT supports maintainers’ skill sustainment and advanced mission readiness, which extends its utility for maintenance groups to ensure comprehensive engine run training.
